# ALGORITHMS & SYSTEM INTEGRATION INTERN
BMS Algorithms, Firmware & Vehicle Integration
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Adiabatic Technologies Pvt Ltd is an Indian energy company building battery systems, BMS, and chargers for the industries that won't accept downtime — robotics, defence, drones, MHE, AGV, and solar. Located in Ahmednagar, we specialize in both R&D and manufacturing of advanced energy storage solutions. We are a fast-growing team working on cutting-edge technology with real-world impact, driving sustainability and enabling global hardware innovation from India.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for an Algorithms & System Integration Intern to work on the software side of our battery systems — state estimation, balancing and protection logic, and the integration of the pack with chargers, controllers, and host machines over CAN. You will move between MATLAB models, embedded firmware, and the test bench, and see your algorithm run on a real pack.
DEPARTMENT: R&D — Embedded Systems & Algorithms DURATION: 3–6 months (flexible) REPORTING TO: Lead Engineer, Embedded Systems WORK DAYS: Monday to Saturday MODE: On-site preferred LOCATION: Ahmednagar, Maharashtra
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Algorithms & Modelling
Develop and tune SOC, SOH, and SOP estimation using coulomb counting, OCV, and Kalman-filter methods Work on cell balancing, thermal derating, and fault detection and protection logic Build and validate battery models in MATLAB/Simulink or Python against measured cell data
Firmware & Integration
Implement and test algorithm blocks in embedded C on the BMS controller Work on CAN/Modbus communication between pack, charger, VCU, and host machine Support configuration tools, telemetry, data logging, and firmware update workflows Validation & Debug
Run bench tests on packs, capture logs, and compare algorithm output against reference measurements Debug integration issues with customers' controllers and chargers in the lab and on site Document test cases, results, parameter sets, and release notes
WHO SHOULD APPLY
Students from Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or Mechatronics Comfortable programming in embedded C and in Python or MATLAB Understanding of microcontrollers, peripherals, and serial protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART Sound grounding in control systems, signal processing, or estimation theory Willing to work on hardware in the lab, not only in a simulator
Preferred Attributes
Project exposure to BMS, EV, robotics, or drone systems Experience with Kalman filters, equivalent-circuit models, or data-driven estimation Familiarity with version control, RTOS, or functional-safety concepts
WHAT YOU'LL GET
✓ Your algorithms running on production battery packs, not only in simulation
✓ Full-stack view of a battery system: cell data, firmware, communication, and machine integration
✓ Mentorship from embedded and R&D engineers on live customer programmes
✓ Internship certificate and demonstrable, tested code in your portfolio
STIPEND
Performance-linked
The first 30 days are an evaluation period, during which the internship is unpaid On demonstrated performance, the internship converts to a paid stipend, reviewed monthly The stipend amount depends on skills, output, and ownership shown during the evaluation period
