W E ' R E H I R I N G # BATTERY CAD DESIGN INTERN Mechanical Design & Packaging — Battery Systems ABOUT THE COMPANY Adiabatic Technologies Pvt Ltd is an Indian energy company building battery systems, BMS, and chargers for the industries that won't accept downtime — robotics, defence, drones, MHE, AGV, and solar. Located in Ahmednagar, we specialize in both R&D and manufacturing of advanced energy storage solutions. We are a fast-growing team working on cutting-edge technology with real-world impact, driving sustainability and enabling global hardware innovation from India. ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a Battery CAD Design Intern to support the mechanical design of our battery packs — from cell arrangement and busbar layout to enclosures, brackets, and thermal packaging. You will model in 3D, produce manufacturing drawings, and see your parts get fabricated and assembled on our own shop floor. This is a build-and-learn role for someone who wants real hardware experience, not simulation-only coursework. DEPARTMENT: R&D — Mechanical Design DURATION: 3–6 months (flexible) REPORTING TO: Lead Engineer, Mechanical Design WORK DAYS: Monday to Saturday MODE: On-site preferred LOCATION: Ahmednagar, Maharashtra KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 3D Modelling & Pack Design Model battery pack components in 3D: cell holders, busbars, enclosures, brackets, and covers Work on cell arrangement, module stacking, and space optimisation for a given capacity and footprint Design sheet metal and machined parts with correct bends, clearances, fasteners, and tolerances Drawings & Documentation Produce 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions, GD&T, and material and finish callouts Maintain BOMs, part numbering, and revision history for design files Prepare assembly views and exploded diagrams for production and service documentation Prototyping & Manufacturing Support Coordinate with vendors and the in-house shop floor on fabrication and fitment queries Support prototype assembly, fit checks, and design corrections after physical trials Assist senior engineers with basic thermal, structural, and IP-protection considerations WHO SHOULD APPLY Students in Mechanical, Automobile, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering Solid working knowledge of at least one CAD platform — SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, or Creo Ability to read and produce 2D drawings, and a basic grasp of GD&T and tolerance stack-up Understanding of sheet metal, machining, and common fastening and joining methods Careful, detail-driven approach — in pack design a 1 mm error is a real problem Preferred Attributes Academic or project exposure to lithium-ion cells, battery packs, EV systems, or thermal management Familiarity with FEA/CFD basics (Ansys or SolidWorks Simulation) or rendering tools like KeyShot Hands-on making experience: college racing teams, robotics clubs, workshops, or 3D printing WHAT YOU'LL GET ✓ Your designs manufactured and assembled in-house, with feedback from the shop floor ✓ Mentorship from engineers building battery systems for defence, robotics, and MHE ✓ End-to-end exposure: concept, CAD, drawing, vendor, prototype, and validation ✓ Internship certificate and a genuine hardware portfolio to show recruiters STIPEND Performance-linked The first 30 days are an evaluation period, during which the internship is unpaid On demonstrated performance, the internship converts to a paid stipend, reviewed monthly The stipend amount depends on skills, output, and ownership shown during the evaluation period Join us in powering the future of energy storage systems!
