ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Compliance Intern to help take our products through the certifications that let them be sold and shipped — AIS-156, IEC 62133, UN 38.3, BIS, and CE among them. You will read standards closely, prepare test plans and dossiers, coordinate with external labs, and keep the evidence trail that auditors and customers ask for.
DEPARTMENT: Quality, Compliance & Certification
DURATION: 3–6 months (flexible)
REPORTING TO: Quality & Compliance Manager
WORK DAYS: Monday to Saturday
MODE: On-site preferred
LOCATION: Pune, Maharashtra
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Standards & Certification
Study applicable standards — AIS-156, IEC 62133, UN 38.3, IP ratings, BIS, CE, RoHS — and map requirements to our products
Prepare test plans, sample requirements, and certification dossiers for each product family
Coordinate with NABL and external test labs on schedules, submissions, and re-tests
Documentation & Audits
Maintain the compliance file: test reports, certificates, declarations, and validity dates
Support ISO 9001 documentation, internal audits, and corrective-action tracking
Prepare user manuals, safety labels, MSDS, and transport documentation for battery shipments Cross-Functional Support
Flag compliance requirements to design and production early, before a build starts
Assist with DFMEA, risk assessments, and supplier quality documentation
Answer customer and tender questionnaires on standards and certifications held
WHO SHOULD APPLY
Students from Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (quality or safety specialisations welcome)
Able to read a technical standard carefully and translate it into a checklist
Very strong documentation discipline — in compliance, an undated record is no record
Clear written English and confident coordinating with external labs and vendors
Persistent and organised; certification work is a long chain of follow-ups
Preferred Attributes
Coursework or project exposure to battery safety, EV standards, or product certification
Familiarity with ISO 9001, FMEA, or quality management systems
Interest in regulatory affairs as a long-term career track
