ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Production & Documentation Intern to work on the shop floor and on the paperwork that keeps it disciplined — work instructions, BOMs, batch records, and traceability. You will follow packs through assembly and testing, spot where the process leaks time or quality, and help build the documentation system a scaling manufacturing line needs.
DEPARTMENT: Production & Operations DURATION: 3–6 months (flexible) REPORTING TO: Production Manager WORK DAYS: Monday to Saturday MODE: On-site preferred LOCATION: Ahmednagar, Maharashtra
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Support
Support daily assembly of battery packs: kitting, sequencing, and line readiness Track production output, cycle times, rework, and downtime against the plan Coordinate with stores and purchase on material availability and shortages
Documentation & Traceability
Write and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process flow charts for each assembly station Maintain BOMs, route cards, batch records, and serial-number traceability for every pack Keep test and inspection records complete, signed, and audit-ready Quality & Improvement
Log non-conformances and rejections; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions Assist in 5S, layout improvements, and small kaizen projects on the line Prepare daily and weekly production MIS for the leadership review
WHO SHOULD APPLY
Students in their final year or recent graduates in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering Willing to spend the day on the shop floor, not only at a desk Strong Excel skills and genuinely careful with records and numbers Clear written English — this role produces documents other people must follow Systematic, observant, and comfortable asking operators how work is really done
Preferred Attributes
Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, kaizen, or Six Sigma concepts Awareness of ISO 9001 documentation practice or ERP systems Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams
