Aina is a design-led consumer hardware company building a new generation of interfaces for the age of AI. We believe today's computers are still designed for browsing, even as AI becomes capable of understanding context, intent, and acting on our behalf. We're building a general-purpose interface beyond keyboards and touchscreens, designed to make interacting with AI effortless.\n\nFor our first year, we operated in stealth as Project Mirage, a Human-Computer Interaction lab exploring how people interact with AI in everyday life. We showcased three experimental interfaces at CES 2026, shipped Dune—a context-aware keypad for Mac—to hundreds of early adopters, and used everything we learned to validate our thesis on the future of Human-Computer Interaction.\n\nIn July 2026, Aina emerged from stealth with a $5.5 million seed round led by Redstart Labs and 360 ONE Asset to bring its flagship interface to market.\n\nWe are looking for a meticulous and curious Software QA Manager to join our team and help us ensure world-class quality across our app and app-related experiences. As a QA engineer, you will join a small, focused team and play a critical role in validating how our app enables seamless experiences for our users.\n\nTest and validate the entire product flow of the iOS application including basic authentication and app experience, performance of app with the backend APIs and the connectivity of app with other hardware devices.\n\nDesign structured test plans and reproducible test cases for new features, firmware updates, and user journeys.\n\nCollaborate closely with the software team to identify, isolate, and document bugs early in the development cycle.\n\nBuild lightweight automation scripts or tools to speed up testing wherever possible.\n\nMaintain a strong pulse on performance, reliability, and real-world behavior of the product — ensuring that every launch feels polished and intuitive.\n\n5–7 years of experience testing iOS apps, bluetooth and API connectivity.\n\nFamiliarity with tools like TestFlight, Postman, nRF Connect and other utilities.\n\nExperience in designing end-to-end test cases for a variety of broad use cases under different conditions.\n\nExperience in writing small automation utilities to test modular use cases.\n\nAn eye for detail and a genuine curiosity to understand how things work end-to-end — from device to cloud.\n\nPassion for consumer technology, gadgets, and ensuring every user experience feels magical and reliable.\n\nHigh-ownership role at an early-stage company building a new interaction paradigm\n\nClose collaboration with experienced product, marketing, supply chain and engineering teams\n\nFast learning, real responsibility, and visible impact\n\nOpportunity to help shape a category-defining brand from day one
