We're looking for a hands-on Wiring Harness Engineer to own end-to-end design and manufacturing of wiring harnesses for robotic systems. You'll work across design, vendor coordination, and production support to take harnesses from concept to reliable, field-ready hardware.
What You'll Work On
* Own end-to-end wiring harness design for robotic systems, from requirements to routing.
* Collaborate with mechanical and electronics teams to define harness requirements and layout.
* Select cables, connectors, and components across power, signal, data, and high-flex applications.
* Create schematics, pinouts, wire lists, and harness layouts.
* Develop manufacturing drawings and assembly documentation.
* Coordinate with harness vendors for prototyping and production, supporting FAI and resolving manufacturing issues.
* Create and maintain BOMs, revision control, and ECOs.
* Support stock planning, alternate part selection, system integration, testing, and field issue resolution.
Preferred Background
* Experience in wiring harness design for robotics or electromechanical systems.
* Strong understanding of harness manufacturing, terminations, shielding, and high-flex routing.
* Experience working with external harness manufacturers.
* Proven ability to take a harness from prototype to production.
* Experience in medical or safety-critical systems is a plus.
* Familiarity with IPC/WHMA standards and ISO processes is a plus.
