About the Team and the Role:

The Program Management team at Ather is responsible for translating overall organization strategy into future-ready execution plans, managing product roadmaps, and integrating complex components across hardware, software, and vehicle systems.

This role is for a Program Manager - Scooter Dev who will lead cross-functional product development teams focused on delivering systems that enable the roadmap of our two-wheeler (2W) portfolio. You will be responsible for evaluating problems, managing risks, planning mitigations, and driving project execution from concept to production to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional product development teams focused on delivering systems that enable the roadmap of our two-wheeler (2W) portfolio.

  • Evaluate complex problems, process details, and integrate various disparate pieces of information to drive execution toward organizational goals.

  • Work closely with teams to identify and manage program risks, plan proactive mitigations, and unblock progress.

  • Resolve complex issues and technical conflicts between teams through structured facilitation and communication.

  • Report project status, impediments, and red flags to the Program Office and functional heads, raising escalations to drive timely resolution.

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to assess, manage, and report program status, metrics, and milestone deliverables.

  • Drive project progress, ensure business results, and align execution with organizational timeline and quality expectations.

  • Champion collaborative ways of working, foster strong communication, and provide guidance and foresight based on experience to enable speed of execution.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering is required. An MBA is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Overall work experience between 8 - 10 years, with 5+ years of experience specifically in Program Management. PMP or Agile/Scrum Master certifications are preferred.

Must Have Competencies:

  • Technical Program Management: Proven experience in managing and maintaining complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams on complex tech problems.

  • Hardware Product Development: Deep understanding of the end-to-end hardware product development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to tooling and mass production.

  • Automotive Product Development Lifecycle: Comprehensive knowledge of the general automotive product development lifecycle (NPD/APDS) and its core milestones.

  • Project Management Tools: Strong proficiency in using IT systems and project management software such as JIRA, PLM, and automation tools for tracking and reporting.



Good to Have Competencies:

  • Agile & Scrum Frameworks: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint planning, and task tracking to optimize team productivity.

  • Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology: Exposure to or basic understanding of electric vehicle systems, powertrain architectures, or battery technology.

  • Risk Management & Mitigation: Proficiency in identifying, tracking, and implementing mitigation plans for technical and program-level risks.

  • Agile/PMP Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile/Scrum Master certifications.
