About the Team and the Role:

The Digital Transformation (Factory / Manufacturing Digitalization) team at Ather is responsible for architecting and executing digital solutions across factory operations, bridging business planning needs with modern technology platforms.

This role is for a Manager - Digital Transformation (S&OP and APS) to lead the selection, design, implementation, and enterprise-wide adoption of an Advanced Planning & Scheduling System (APS) across raw material planning, production scheduling, and finished goods planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end selection, solution design, configuration, and phased implementation of an Advanced Planning & Scheduling System (APS) for factory operations.

  • Translate S&OP, demand planning, MRP/DRP, production scheduling, and finished goods planning requirements into detailed solution blueprints and system configurations.

  • Partner with implementation vendors and system integrators to ensure deliverables align with scope, quality, timeline, and ROI objectives.

  • Conduct process workshops and fit-gap analyses with S&OP, planning, and factory operations teams to align current workflows with future-state digital capabilities.

  • Drive change management, training programs, and operational adoption to ensure sustainable long-term platform usage across plants.

  • Architect robust integrations between the APS platform and core systems including SAP S/4HANA, PLM, and SAP PI/PO middleware.

  • Establish data migration frameworks, data readiness standards, and BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) for tracking forecast accuracy and planning KPIs.

  • Manage overall program execution, governance cadences, and risk mitigation strategies while building future roadmaps for AI-driven planning.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or IT; MBA or Post Graduate degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or Technology Management preferred.

  • 6-10 years of experience with a significant focus on implementing or driving adoption of APS and planning platforms in a manufacturing environment.

Must Have Competencies

  • Solution architecture, configuration, and end-to-end implementation of Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems.

  • Domain knowledge across Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, MRP/DRP, production scheduling, and finished goods planning.

  • Enterprise systems integration connecting APS platforms with SAP S/4HANA/ECC ERPs and SAP PI/PO middleware environments.

  • Business process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and translation of operational factory needs into functional system blueprints.

Good to Have Competencies

  • Hands-on implementation experience with planning platforms such as SAP IBP/APO, o9, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or OMP.

  • Master data management, data migration strategy, and BI dashboard design using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or SQL.

  • Professional certifications in supply chain management or project management, such as APICS CPIM/CSCP or PMP.

  • Strategic integration of advanced AI capabilities into planning systems for demand sensing, scenario planning, and supply chain resilience.
