Dy Manager - Strategic Sourcing (Casting)

What we’re looking for:  

We are looking for a Qualified professional with min 05 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing in 2wh industry for the Aluminum Castings, Forging & Machining Category.  

What you will own and do:

• Lead end-to-end RFI / RFQ / RFP process for Aluminum Casting components (Gravity Die Casting / High Pressure Die Casting / Low Pressure Die Casting) including parts such as Alloy Wheels, Gear Box Housing, Crank Cases, Motor Housing, etc. 

• Ensure all commercial terms are finalized and agreed; position and execute NDA, SOW, and Master Purchase Agreements appropriately before initiation of business. 

• Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers covering NDAs, General Terms & Conditions, and Production Supply Agreements. 

• Evaluate supplier core competencies, manufacturing capabilities, and competitive positioning using industry cost models and benchmarking tools. 

• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best-in-class prototype and production pricing aligned with target costing objectives. 

• Build and leverage strong cross-functional relationships with Engineering teams and key suppliers to ensure cost optimization, quality compliance, and timely delivery. 

• Coordinate closely with internal teams to support prototype requirements, execute build milestones, and monitor daily Supply Chain Management & Strategic Sourcing activities. 

• Track and reconcile Sub-Contracting activities related to Job Work components. 

• Coordinate with Suppliers and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) teams to ensure part quality and compliance with specifications. 

• Ensure Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) assurance for all Aluminium Casting parts. 

What You Will Bring to us:

•  B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent qualification. 

• 5–8 years of demonstrated experience in Strategic Sourcing of Automotive 2W components, including 2–4 years of experience with a 2W OEM. 

• Strong knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing processes from raw material selection to finished goods for Aluminium Casting (Gravity Die Casting / High Pressure Die Casting / Low Pressure Die Casting). 

• Knowledge of surface treatment processes such as Powder Coating, Painting, and Heat Treatment. 

• Hands-on experience in Zero Based Costing (ZBC) for Aluminium Casting commodities, including tooling cost analysis. 

• Understanding of Commodity Price Indexing (Raw Material Indexing). 

• Working knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and IATF 16949 requirements. 

• Knowledge of testing and validation requirements at both Part and Assembly levels. 

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

• Knowledge of import transactions and related commercial processes. 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
