Dy Manager - Strategic Sourcing (Sheet Metal & Fabrication)

What we’re looking for: 

We are looking for a Qualified professional with min 05 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing in 2wh industry for the Sheet Metal and Fabrication Category.

What you will own and do:

• Identify and develop reliable suppliers for sheet metal components, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.

• Manage the sourcing process from RFQ through to purchase order placement, ensuring timely procurement.

• Analyze supplier performance and collaborate with the quality team to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

• Maintain a strong supplier base and develop long-term relationships with key suppliers.

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to address issues related to sourcing, material specifications, and lead times.

• Monitor market trends and raw material prices to ensure cost-effectiveness in sourcing decisions.

• Ensure timely delivery of sheet metal components and ensure compliance with internal production schedules.

• Prepare and maintain relevant documentation including RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and risk mitigation in sourcing strategies.

• Stay updated on industry developments, new suppliers, and technological advancements related to sheet metal manufacturing.

• Manage inventory levels and stock replenishment for sheet metal components to prevent production disruptions.

What You Will Bring to us:

•  B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent qualification.

• 5–8 years of demonstrated experience in Strategic Sourcing of Automotive 2W components, including 2–4 years of experience with a 2W OEM.

• Strong knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing processes from raw material selection to finished goods for Sheet Metal and Fabrication Parts. .

• Hands-on experience in Zero Based Costing (ZBC) for Sheet Metal Parts.

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and materials (e.g., stamping, cutting, welding).

• Experience with supplier negotiation, cost management, and contract administration.

• Familiarity with ERP systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
