About the Company
Founded with the vision of building a runtime reconfigurable, future-proof processor, Morphing Machines is a fabless semiconductor company working on a ground-breaking technology that will transform the chip design landscape. Morphing Machines’ patent protected IP, REDEFINE, can concurrently accelerate heterogenous workloads, on a homogenous fabric of processing cores. REDEFINE combines ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) like performance with the reconfigurability of FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays). Morphing Machines’ innovation enables dataflow compute, which is a paradigm shift in the current processor industry. Due to the nature of our architecture, we can cater across domains from Data Centers, Quantitative Finance, AI/ML acceleration, Edge Vision to High Performance Compute (HPC) applications, all with the same hardware fabric. At Morphing Machines, we are building a cutting-edge technology guided by our vision to build truly software-defined hardware.
Job Overview
The Chief of Staff (CoS) ensures operational continuity, strategic alignment, and cross-functional execution across the company — especially in the absence of the CEO and CTO. This role exists to make the organization run predictably, decisively, and smoothly — removing noise, maintaining rhythm, and enabling the leadership to focus on growth, technology, and strategic partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership Continuity
- Serve as the CEO/CTO's operational proxy for routine, transactional, and business-as-usual matters.
- Represent the firm as the CEO's proxy at any of the events on-a-need basis.
- Manage prioritization, coordination, and closure of key operational decisions across departments.
- Drive meeting prep, follow-ups, and action tracking to ensure consistency and accountability.
- Maintain visibility and control over core projects, metrics, and inter-departmental dependencies.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration
- Coordinate between Engineering, IT, Projects, HR, Admin, Finance/Compliance, and Branding/PR.
- Lead or support team heads to ensure plans translate into on-time, on-quality, and on-budget execution.
- Manage functional leads tactfully — maintaining a balance of influence, empathy, and accountability.
- Identify bottlenecks early and drive resolution before escalation.
- Operational Enablement
- Establish efficient internal systems: review cadences, dashboards, and SOPs.
- Leverage automation and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Fireflies, HubSpot, Miro, Notion) to streamline workflows and decision tracking.
- Ensure internal documentation, processes, and reporting stay current and usable.
- Prepare board decks, investor updates, and company communications in coordination with leadership.
