Key Responsibilities· Perform 1D,2D & 3D Hydrological and hydraulic modelling for Disaster Applications and other geospatial projects.· Guide the disaster team in developing urban flood, riverine flood, flash flood, and flood forecasting models, GLOF and Dam Breach Modelling, including their calibration and validation.· Coordinating and Managing Modelling Studies and Flood-Related Projects· Analysis of hydrological and climatic data and produce flood simulation & risk assessment.· Performing various Spatial analyses, terrain analysis, and other analyses.· R&D for disaster solution development.· Making space inside for disaster mitigation.· Maintain accurate documentation and report making.· Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to provide technical support. Job Requirements· 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Hydrological or water resources modelling projects.· Master’s degree in Hydraulic/Civil engineering/water resource engineering/ Remote Sensing and GIS/Geoinformatics or a Similar field. · Demonstrable modelling experiences using widely accepted models like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE, SWMM, TUFLOW, etc.· Proactive and professional in dealing with complex water resources problems· Knowledge of Digital Image Processing and GIS software, such as Image Processing Software and QGIS/ArcGIS.· Domain-specific knowledge in hydrology, combined with expertise in machine learning frameworks is strongly preferred.· Basic knowledge of Open-Source tools such as GDAL.· Basic Programming (Google Earth Engine, Python, R).
