We are building the next-generation Global Satellite Constellation for highly precise and secure Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) using Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Space Regulatory Engineer to join our Regulatory Affairs team. In this role, you will support the authorization, licensing, and regulatory compliance activities required throughout the lifecycle of our satellite constellation from mission planning and frequency coordination to launch authorization and operational compliance.
Working closely with engineering, mission planning, legal, and government stakeholders, you will help ensure that VyomIC's space missions comply with Indian and international regulatory frameworks while enabling timely execution of mission objectives.
Support the preparation, submission, and management of authorization applications with IN-SPACe for satellite missions and associated space activities.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies including IN-SPACe, ISRO, DoT/WPC, SACFA, and other government bodies to obtain necessary licenses, approvals, and operational clearances.
Assist in ITU satellite network filings and other regulatory documentation.
Track regulatory approvals, maintain compliance schedules, and ensure timely submission of statutory documents throughout the mission lifecycle.
Monitor developments in national and international space regulations, including the Indian Space Policy 2023, ITU Radio Regulations, UN COPUOS guidelines, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
Conduct regulatory research and evaluate the impact of evolving policies, standards, and licensing requirements on satellite missions and business operations.
Work closely with engineering teams to identify regulatory requirements affecting spacecraft design, orbital operations, spectrum utilization, and mission planning.
Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation, compliance reports, technical submissions, compliance matrices.
Maintain accurate records of licenses, authorizations, approvals, correspondence, and other regulatory documentation.
Support compliance with orbital debris mitigation policies, post-mission disposal requirements, and international space sustainability guidelines, including IADC and ISO standards.
Assist in evaluating export control requirements, dual-use technology regulations, and other compliance obligations applicable to space systems and technologies.
Coordinate with legal, engineering, business operations, and external stakeholders to support regulatory reviews, customer due diligence, and mission compliance activities.
Represent the company during interactions with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, consultants, partners, and other stakeholders as required.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal regulatory processes, documentation standards, and compliance management systems.
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Public Policy, Law, or a related discipline.
0–3 years of experience in the space, telecommunications, aerospace, or regulatory sector.
Strong interest in satellite regulations, licensing, and space policy.
Understanding of the Indian space ecosystem, including IN-SPACe, ISRO, DoT/WPC, and related government processes.
Familiarity with satellite communications, spectrum management, or orbital mechanics is desirable.
Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple regulatory activities and deadlines.
Master's degree in Space Law, Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications, or Public Policy.
Demonstrated project management skills and a history of delivering results.
Familiarity with cross-domain regulatory concerns
